Title: Crew Scheduling Supervisor (Full time)
Department: Operations Control Center (OCC)
Description: The Crew Scheduling Supervisor acts as the senior on-site Supervisor for the Crew Scheduling department.
Reports to: OCC Manager
Reports: up to 6 Crew Schedulers

Qualifications

  1. a) Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in all phases of crew scheduling, crew planning and crew control.
  2. b) Must have prior experience with Blue One Aircraft & Crew Management software or similar electronic rostering systems
  3. c) Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  4. d) Must have computer skills in basic Microsoft Office products and data entry skills for information software databases.
  5. e) Must be 21 years of age or more for compliance purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities
a) Ensure crew scheduling process is in compliance with the flight time limitations contained in the General Operations Manual and Overseas Territories Aviation Requirements (OTARs) rules..
b) Ensure that all flights are properly crewed in each 28-day period and that all schedules comply with all government and Company regulations and policies.
c) Ensure that CAA regulations, Company policies, and employee agreements are adhered to in the planning and day to day operations of crew members.
d) Oversee the flight crew scheduling process.
e) Ensure proper crew staffing levels at each base and in each category.
f) Use the flight scheduling optimization software to conduct strategic analysis and change various rules and basing parameters to analyse the results of the optimization process.
g) Coordinate with the Director of Flight Operations (DFO), Chief Pilot and Cabin Crew Manager for proper planning of training events and proper balancing of flight time assignments with crewmembers.
h) Coordinate with the DFO, Chief Pilot, and Cabin Crew Manager to assist in planning future crew requirements.
i) Coordinate ad-hoc and charter flights as well in the crewing process.
j) Assist and be able to take over all Crew Scheduling functions if and when needed.
k) Ensure effective communication between dispatchers and flight crews on ground and in-flight to company, third parties & other network management.
l) Monitor day to day operations with the OCC and ensure roster limitations are not broken with flight & duty.
m) Assign and arrange accommodation for crew in all bases on a daily basis.
n) Ensure that Crew Schedulers operate within the limitations and provisions of the AOC and applicable OTARs and applicable foreign air regulations.
o) Adhere to the ICA Company Handbook.
p) Be able to lift up to 10 lbs. if required.
