Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Customer Acceptance Quality Manager to join our Quality Department based in Mobile, AL

As a key actor of the Customer Acceptance and Delivery Multi-Functional Team (CAD MFT), you will represent Airbus Quality organization in front of our Customers. Integrated in the Customer Line, you will be in charge of a portfolio of Customers with whom you will build and maintain a trustful relationship all along the aircraft production cycle and in particular during the Final Assembly Line and Delivery Phases. You will negotiate major quality items to ensure Customer Acceptance.

Your challenges:
  • Support aircraft deliveries as part of the Delivery Multifunctional Team (MFT).

  • Ensure Quality items raised by the customer are assessed, answered and resolved.

  • Review Customer Satisfaction and provide feedback accordingly.

  • Participate in Customer Facing events such as Customer Centricity Events, Customer Information Sessions, etc.

  • Manage customer communication (during ASRM, Final Cabin, Delivery, dedicated quality meetings…) for all quality related topics whether it relates to cabin, structures, systems or paint

  • Define, prioritize and agree with Customers the quality Top Irritants and repetitive items for a specific Customer or across fleets to manage “Customer Feedback Loop” in cross functional teams (Quality, Operations, MAP, Engineering, Procurement, etc.)

  • Ensure risk management of quality topics (Major Manufacturing Incidents, Constituent Assembly Reallocation, Concession review, Quality Survey Reports, etc.

  • Launch and/or coordinate quality corrective actions and projects to enhance customer satisfaction (reduction of Customer repetitive items, Concession improvements, etc.)

  • Foster cross site and cross program actions consistency and anticipation mindset.

  • Ensure awareness of in-service issues within the CAD MFT and define the associated containment and communication strategy with the CAD MFT.

  • Approve Concessions based on Customer Specificity

  • Prepare and Provide Quality Statement to Customers on behalf of Airbus

Recommended: Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar discipline. May substitute relevant experience in place of the degree.

Experience:

● Required: Minimum 5 years, preferably with an international aviation company in Aircraft Manufacturing/ Quality/Lean Management/ Quality Inspection of entire Aircraft or Aircraft installations

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

Fluency reading, writing and speaking English

● Person will have decision making power within the defined scope of SME (Subject Matter Expert) for which they can and may be nominated.
