As Director Contracts, you will be using your skills and expertise to administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate our standard and nonstandard contracts. Youll be responsible for examining estimates of material, services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Youll advise management of contractual rights and obligations and ensure our contracting activities provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment. This will be a formal leadership position of a small team.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Primary point of contact for the customer on all assigned contractual and solicitation matters.
  • Maintains close, embedded professional interface with internal customer.  
  • Supervises work produced to ensure consistent high quality performance
  • Works with internal customers (program managers, program directors, etc. ) ensuring all communication with external customers is concise and consistent from both technical and contractual personnel
  • Monitors, in conjunction with the Program Manager, performance against the original cost allocation and contract requirements in order to anticipate necessary changes in contract funding or scope of work
  • In coordination with corporate counsel, reviews NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Consultant Agreements and other strategic documents for the program
  • Drafting, reviewing, posting and routing for approval; and prompt execution of agreements and executive summaries - ensuring protection of SNC interests in all agreements
  • Responsible for ensuring that all contract documents, data, deliverables, funding, etc. are posted to SharePoint; to include the development and updates to Contract-specific matrix
  • Works with Director, Subcontracts to validate the two organizations are communicating and effectively flowing down all applicable terms and conditions and payment clauses

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field of Study
    • Relevant experience may substitute for required education
  • 15&43; years with government contracting
  • Experience with and working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
  • Previous experience managing a major defense acquisition program in Government or as Prime Contractor
  • Progressive knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following disciplines: contracts administration, proposal management, business administration, law
  • Proven experience and technical expertise in the application of government contract administration principles, concepts, and practices as well as comprehensive contract management and leadership skills
  • Understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) compliance, and commercial contract rules and regulations
  • Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo and demonstrate ability to adapt to dynamic situations
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to technical vs. non-technical audiences
  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Experience with ACAT I / major systems program
  • Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification
  • National Contract Management Association (NCMA) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification
  • Previous legal experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Tools
  • Previous supervisory experience

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $186,100.35 - $255,887.98. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

This position requires current/active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
