Job Description:

Job Summary: This Director position serves as a vital bridge between the company’s executive leadership and the investment community. This role is responsible for shaping, articulating, and delivering the organization’s financial narrative, strategy, and long-term vision to shareholders, analysts, and other external stakeholders serving as a storyteller and a guardian of corporate reputation. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in financial communications, capital spanets, and strategic stakeholder engagement ensuring the company’s vision is not only understood but embraced by investors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives and industry dynamics.

  • Ensure clear, consistent messaging of the company’s financial performance, strategic initiatives, and competitive positioning.

  • Coordinate quarterly and annual earnings releases, investor presentations, and conference calls.

  • Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance in all disclosures.

  • Work with leadership team on compilation of the budget and latest financial projections for presentation to the Board and incorporation into our investor narrative.

  • Build and nurture relationships with institutional and retail investors, sell-side and buy-side analysts, investment bankers, and credit agencies.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to the company’s financial performance, strategic direction, and industry outlook.

  • Monitor trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity within the aviation and defense sector.

  • Prepare analysis and reports to inform executive leadership and guide strategic decision-making.

  • Organize and manage investor days, capital spanets events, site visits, and participation in industry conferences and trade shows.

  • Ensure the company’s leadership is well-prepared with key messaging and talking points.

  • Track and analyze shareholder activity, trading patterns, and spanet sentiment.

  • Provide regular updates to senior management and the Board of Directors, highlighting investor perceptions and emerging risks or opportunities.

  • Ensure the company’s investor relations activities adhere to all relevant regulations, including SEC and NASDAQ requirements.

  • Oversee the creation and distribution of annual reports, proxy statements, and other shareholder materials in collaboration with legal, finance, and communications teams.

  • Develop and implement protocols for responding to financial, operational, or reputational crises.

  • Prepare leadership for media and investor engagement during periods of heightened scrutiny.

  • Partner with C-suite executives, finance, legal, communications, and spaneting teams to align investor relations strategies with broader corporate objectives.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Communications, or related field. Advanced degrees (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.

  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in investor relations, financial communications, or capital spanets, with at least three years in the aviation and defense sector.

  • Familiarity with the aviation and defense sectors, including understanding of sector-specific regulations, global spanet dynamics, and key competitive drivers.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and investment analysis.

  • Deep knowledge of SEC reporting requirements.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Skilled in investor relations software, financial modeling tools, and spanet intelligence platforms.

  • Knowledge of trends in commercial and military aviation, defense procurement processes, geopolitical risk factors, and government contracting.

  • Ability to distill complex technical and financial information into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to navigate sensitive discussions and maintain company reputation.

  • Resourceful in anticipating investor concerns and developing data-driven solutions.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a track record of crafting compelling investor presentations, press releases, and executive speeches.

  • Proven experience building trust with institutional investors, analysts, and external stakeholders.
