Summary and Objective

Will drive to increase company revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies.

Essential functions

  • Building solid relationships with customers, vendors, and distributors, as well as sales and spaneting teams.

  • Act as the main interface with the customers.

  • Works with the Director of MRO to ensure customer schedules and expectations are met.

  • Execute or assist in preparation and execution of copies of contracts and subcontracts, including exhibits and attachments; ensure all contract and subcontract auxiliary documents, such as insurance certificates and bonds, are provided.

  • Manage change order process, e.g., work with Program Managers and Maintenance Admins to determine the need for change orders; negotiate, draft and secure signatures on change order.

  • Participate in meetings related to contract formation and performance.

  • Participate in spaneting conferences and industry events.

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.

  • Directing spaneting efforts by presenting spanet research to MRO directors and suggesting strategies to expand spanet research.

  • Assessing spaneting, sales, supplier and vendor operations and recommending improvements as needed.

  • Preparing all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).

  • Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers needs.

  • Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow businesses.

  • Presenting business or spaneting opportunities to company executives and management.

Supervisory responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively to lead proposals and recommendations

  • Tracking and record developing relationships

  • Prioritization of recommended targets

  • Streamline communication and project management with VP MRO

  • Present strategies, recommendations, updates, and assessments as part of a team to senior management

  • Aligning with production schedule for incoming slots

Work environment

  • Typical office and computer lab environment with frequent interruptions.

  • Exposure to loud noises including but not limited to airplane machinery and jet engines.

Physical demands

  • Ability to see and hear clearly

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English clearly

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 30 pounds

Travel required

Required education and experience 

  • Associate degree in Aviation, Business, Aerospace, or related discipline preferred. 

  • Minimum of 5–10 years of proven experience selling aviation-related products or services.  

  • Demonstrated customer service, business development, sales, and spaneting experience, with excellent interpersonal skills.  

  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship.  

  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.
