The Director of Operations reports to the Chief of Flight Operations and is the Company’s designated authority to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Director of Operations, through direct leadership as well as delegation through the Chief Pilot, ensures that the Company’s pilots are poised and ready to serve our patients, people and partners while adhering to FAA regulations.
The Director of Operations is responsible for the tactical execution of daily aviation operations with a strong focus on supporting patient care initiatives. This role ensures compliance with FAA regulations by implementing established protocols and empowering front-line leader decision making. The Director’s responsibilities include supporting optimized fleet movement and pilot scheduling, ensuring high safety standards, and acting as the tactical liaison to implement the Executive Leadership Team’s strategies. Collaborating with Senior Leadership team and working as an aviation partner.
The Director of Operations is also responsible for the Company’s Operations Control Center, ensuring continuous two-tier operational control while meeting Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 14, Section 135.619 and Advisory Circular 120-96A. The Director of Operation’s leadership, attention to regulatory details and aviation safety are fundamental to the Company’s success in providing cutting-edge patient care.
