POSITION SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Director directs overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors and distribution of finished goods. Develops and implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. This position reports to the COO.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handles an organizations overall supply chain operations.
  • Evaluates past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling.
  • Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of operations.
  • Manages the proper sourcing and procurement of materials, supplies and services for the facility.
  • Oversee the contract review process of current and new products.
  • Manages productivity and efficiency, ensuring compliance with budget targets.
  • Monitors and put together performance reports for the business.
  • Controls, measures and regulates efficient inventory levels of materials, commodities and purchased components in support of manufacturing operations.
  • Develops department policies and procedures and ensures that they support and complement Company-wide strategic objectives.
  • Supervises and directs all assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance; Manages personnel decisions in conjunction with HR including hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions; Conducts performance appraisals as required; Formulates and implements employee corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintains the company’s positive, professional image.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years’ experience in supply chain, supplier management, planning, materials management, and manufacturing operations.
  • A combination of technical, business, and leadership skills, including knowledge and experience in supply chain management, project management, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication and collaboration skills, strategic and innovative thinking skills.
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Great communication skills.
  • Full understanding of all MRO activities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in indoor settings, including office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and safety gear.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some movement is required. This would also occasionally require the ability to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


TRAVEL: Travel may be required for this position (25 or less).
