Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services for American Airlines as American Eagle throughout the Midwest and East Coast, operating CRJ-200 regional jets. Position Summary:
With general direction and supervision from the Vice President Technical Operations, responsible for the administration of technical operations on a day-to-day basis.
Job Functions:
- Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
- Monitors the technical requirements of the company fleet, ensuring those requirements are accomplished in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, procedures, and manufacturer standards.
- Strategically leads the day-to-day administration of Technical Operations through coordination with the needs of the department and Flight Operations.
- Collects, reviews, and performs analysis of flight interruptions impacted by Technical Operations. Presents suggestions and initiates actions for improved performance.
- Ensures proper and efficient protocols are developed and utilized within Technical Operations to successfully coordinate daily maintenance activities.
- Budgetary forecasting and budgetary administrative control of assigned areas within their jurisdiction.
Required Competencies:
- High level of judgment and initiative in coordinating implementation of departmental objectives.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
Education & Experience:
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or an Aviation Maintenance or Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
- 5 to 7 years aircraft maintenance management experience in a union environment in FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations.
- Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR 119.67 (c), (1-3), (4), (i-ii).
- 2-4 years supervisory experience in a union environment in FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations.
