Job Summary

Under the broad supervision of the Executive Vice President & CIO, for the overall strategy support and Implementation of the Data & Analytics function. Working closely with our Finance, HR, Operations, and various business teams, this role will play a critical leadership role to design, build and operate world-class Data Team with simple, sleek, cohesive digital employee experience.

 

Here is how the Director, Data & Analytics will help:  

  • Leverage predictive modeling techniques to forecast trends, identify patterns, and drive actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop predictive models for customer behavior, sales forecasting, and risk assessment.
  • Champion the integration of IoT devices into our analytics ecosystem.
  • Unearth real-time insights by combining IoT data streams with advanced analytics. 
  • Establish robust data governance practices, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Safeguard privacy while extracting meaningful information from diverse data sources.
  • Partner with C-suite executives to provide data-backed recommendations for business growth.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into actionable strategies.
  • Mentor and guide a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous learning.
  • Review and analyze existing data applications effectiveness/efficiency and develop strategies for improving or replacing these systems with next generation of systems.
  • Manage the rational decision & balance between SaaS adoption and on-prem solutions.
  • Lead the Data COE (center of excellence) and rapid solution delivery, as well as ongoing operations.
  • Develop a continuous improvement program focused on business value, process optimization, cost avoidance & cost reductions. 
  • Develop thought leadership with business partners and IT teams to build, align, execute, and evolve to the strategic and tactical goals for the Enterprise Data area.
  • Operate with a commitment to establishing practices based on the newest IT trends, processes, and technologies.
  • Challenge the status quo and provide specialist hands-on guidance and support to Executive sponsors and program managers. 
  • Leads the identification, development, implementation, and monitoring of KPIs, metrics, leading indicators, project trending, executive presentations, and portfolio status reports.
  • Fosters collaboration, strategic alignment and integrated planning and execution across multiple functions in a matrixed organization.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.

Qualifications

The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

Preferred requirements to apply for the role of Director, Applications are:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, computer science or closely related field. A master’s degree in a relevant field or M.B.A. is preferred.
  • Five (5) years’ related management or leadership experience in Data & Analytics.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources.
  • Proficiency in IoT technologies, including sensor networks, edge computing, and data streaming.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products & other agile project management tools.
  • Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license.  Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.

  • Technical Skills:
    • Programming Languages: Python (pandas, scikit-learn), SQL etc.
    • Tools: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache Kafka, Power BI, Tableau
    • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Ability to align data initiatives with organizational goals through strategic vision.
  • Considerable ability to articulate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work as a Change Agent, driving adoption of advanced analytics across the company.
