Duty Manager Aircraft Services


Reports To

Aircraft Services Manager


Role Purpose

Responsible for the efficient use of resources to ensure operational performance and to promote and deliver safe, timely and efficient ground handling services including operating all ground equipments to customer airlines. This is to be carried out in accordance with customer airlines policies, Standard Operating Procedure and Service Level Agreement. This position require to work in a safe, secure, professional, cost effective manner whilst ensuring all assets are handled with care.


Key Accountabilities
1) Deliver a high standard of safety culture while operating all ground equipment at all times. Ensure ground equipments are serviceable and safe to operate to meet the requirements.
2) Accountable for management and supervision of aircraft service activities including the loading, unloading & transportation of baggage, cargo & mail, quick ramp transfer of cargo to & from aircraft.
3) Develop and implement new/amended standard operating procedures where appropriate for any new processes/changes which conform to Ground Operating Manual and enhance staff productivity, reinforcing safety & customer service standards.
4) Plan and organize the most efficient use of resources to meet customer requirements through development and analysis of employee & equipment work schedules.  Take measures to ensure that costs are managed and maintained as per approved budget.
5) Responsible for health and safety of all staff under his care by promoting safety culture, educationg and raising awareness through the most appropriate medium, ensuring adherence to Aerodarat Services Sdn Bhd values & culture.

Qualification & Experience

Degree in any related disciplines with minimum 2 years experience in Ramp Services or Aircraft Services or SPM/SPMV with minimum 5 years experience in Ramp Services or Aircraft Services. 


Skills & Knowledge
Knowledgeable in aircraft services operation and basic aircraft technical knowledge
Strong leadership and resources management skills
Good command of writing , spoken english and bahasa malaysia
Data analytycs  

Key Challenges

1. Complying to customer airlines requirement and SLA                                                                 
2. Regulated audit by customer airlines                                                                                           
3. To  meet the SLA when there is shortage of equipments.
