STS Aviation Services is hiring an E7 Compliance Manager in Birmingham, United Kingdom. This internal-only position is responsible for establishing and overseeing an independent Compliance Assurance System to ensure the MRP Part 145 organisation meets all Military Aviation Authority (MAA) requirements. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison for quality system matters, working directly with the Head of Compliance (HOC) to ensure operational integrity, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the direct point of access to the Head of Compliance on quality system matters.
- Define and implement human factors principles within the organisation.
- Conduct regular meetings with the HOC to review quality system effectiveness, ensuring discrepancies are addressed.
- Prepare, maintain, and update standard practices and procedures (MOE and associated processes) to meet MRP Part 145 requirements.
- Submit MOE and amendments to the MAA for approval.
- Provide written confirmation of approval validity to the HOC for MAA submission every 3 years or before formal MAA surveillance audits.
- Assess suppliers, subcontractors, and contracted organisations for quality compliance.
- Notify authorities of maintenance activities outside approved locations as per MOE procedures.
- Establish and maintain training and continuation training programmes.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities regarding airworthiness compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement within the STS working environment.
- Implement and oversee a quality audit programme for all maintenance procedures.
- Address non-compliances and ensure follow-up and closure of corrective actions.
- Manage the issuance, renewal, and cancellation of certifying/support staff authorisations.
- Coordinate action on airworthiness occurrences and initiate necessary follow-up investigations.
- Report hazardous conditions in conjunction with the SMS Manager to manufacturers and the MAA.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in compliance management within an MRP Part 145 environment.
- Strong knowledge of MAA regulations and quality assurance practices.
- Experience liaising with regulatory authorities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead audits, manage non-conformance, and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
