The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager to join the team in Berkeley, MO!

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated EHS Senior Manager to oversee and lead our environmental, health, and safety programs. Your primary focus will be to implement and enforce effective EHS policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety and environmental sustainability across the facility, with a particular emphasis on reducing environmental impacts and promoting sustainable practices. You will work closely with other managers and stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential hazards and implement best practices, while also ensuring that all employees receive adequate training and support to maintain a safe and healthy workplace. Your leadership and expertise will be essential in helping achieve our mission while maintaining the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental sustainability.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employee and first-level manager activities across more than one environmental, occupational, health and safety discipline
  • Activities managed include the planning and implementation of environmental, occupational, health and safety programs/processes, environmental property assessment and remediation, chemical analysis, evaluation of chemical processing activities and/or related support functions
  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes and projects.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to EHS staff, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship, safety awareness and accountability.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement preventive measures.

  • Develops and executes organizational strategy, policies and procedures and guiding the development of business goals.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with regulatory agencies, customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A Final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
  • 5+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Management duties in an industrial environment
  • 5+ years of experience in leading informal and/or formal teams
  • 5+ years of experience in functioning in a cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a safety, environmental or other technical field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, Public Health, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in government contracts
  • Experience developing employees and building organizational talent
  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $153,000 - $207,000
