Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) has an opportunity for an Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Associate Manager at Archbald, PA to support a workforce engaged in the research, design, test, production, assembly, and transportation of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems.

The ESH Associate Manager will report to the site’s Operations Director and will be expected to represent the organization across multiple levels of the company, effectively communicate organizational strategy and objectives, and provide both leadership and technical mentoring to improve program performance and drive ESH culture. The role will also serve as a liaison with federal, state, local, and customer agencies and organizations.

The ESH Associate Manager role will encompass the following:
o Provide direction and support daily operations for the ESH professionals at the facility.
o Direct and manage contracts which support the ESH organization, including properly licensed hazardous waste firms, environmental assessments and permitting, and emergency response activities.
o Promote the ESH culture by driving various ESH performance improvement initiatives and employee engagement activities.
o Build effective relationships and trust with key stakeholders and business partners thus driving program enhancements.
o Manage the site’s ESH management system elements and support development and reporting of metrics and performance data.
o Assure compliance with applicable ESH regulatory, corporate, and customer requirements.
o Coordinate implementation of MFC and Corporate ESH assessment and recordkeeping programs.
o Support emergency and response operations through assistance and oversight to staff during response activities, driving post-incident investigation and corrective action activities, and as a member of the Emergency Operations Command team.
o Support management of the ESH organization’s expense and capital budgets.
o Coordinate with other MFC locations and represent the facility in working groups or new initiatives.
Lockheed Martin’s Archbald facility is a full-service Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) mission area that provides design, manufacturing, engineering, and field service and support to its domestic and international customers.

Archbald is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is part of Lackawanna County in the Blue Ridge Mountain range. The entire region is about 100 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. The Pocono Mountains and Lake Wallenpaupack are nearby.
Basic Qualifications:
• Proven ESH background in an industrial environment with strong business acumen and operations knowledge
• Experience developing and maintaining ESH programs in compliance with key regulations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, across levels of the organization.
• Proficient with computer-based tools and applications (Microsoft Office business programs).
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years professional expertise.
• Knowledge of and experience with ESH management system elements, such as ISO 14001/45001 and/or OSHA VPP.
• Ability to plan and execute data analysis in support of tactical and strategic decision making.
• Experience leading organizational change and strategies.
• Ability to obtain and hold a government secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in ESH-related discipline with at least 5 years professional expertise in an aerospace and defense environment.
• Previously demonstrated leadership experience of a small group or team.
• Previous experience planning and allocating tasks and workload across a team.
• Ability to make difficult decisions, solve complex issues and influence ESH cultural improvement.
• Professional certifications in the field of Environmental, Safety or Health, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Professional Engineer (PE).
• Ability to respond to internal and external issues to maintain regulatory compliance and enhance the employee experience.
• LM21 green or black belt or other continuous improvement tools and techniques knowledge, including thorough root cause analysis and mistake-proofing processes.
• Master’s Degree in associated discipline

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
