Description:This position is for F-16 F-16 Flight Operations Production Lead. In addition to standard job description tasks, the Production Lead will be responsible for providing status of work documents and work accomplished in their work area.
The F-16 Production Lead will be required to interface with multiple functional organizations, in addition to the area supervisor and crew to resolve issues or constraints in the aircraft assembly/production environment. The candidate will be the intermediary between the aircraft assembly crew and production supervision and provide technical guidance to the crew for the assembly of aircraft components. In this capacity the lead will status, communicate and support production goals and objectives of the day/week, assess skill and complexity of tasks, issue work assignments, establish nominal expectation of tasks by obtaining personal contract for each task period of performance with each of the employees; set, check and adjust to meet realization and build performance objectives.
Instill product disciplines to align with Production imperatives of Safety, Quality Schedule & Cost which include but not limited too; fall protection, critical moves and crane lifts, use & disposal of hazardous materials, adherence and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), material handling and storage of staged and work-in-process (WIP) parts, chemical control and labeling, clean as you go, housekeeping, Tool & FOD controls. The candidate will be required to support corrective action investigations, root cause analysis, advise on and implement innovations and process improvements, as well as maintain 6S/lean processes for their area of responsibility. Production Lead will be considered a working lead that will maintain certifications and qualifications to perform production tasks as required as well as other associated duties. These include, but are not limited to: Engine Run Cert, Hydrazine Maintenance/Response Team and COMSEC.
Greenville F16 Production runs on a 7 day work week.
This position may be assigned to any of the 3 working schedules currently in use at the Greenville location:
1st Shift: 4X10A FLEX- 4 10 hr days Mon-Thurs; Fr/Sa/Su off. 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
2nd Shift: 4X10A FLEX- 4 10 hr days Mon-Thurs; Fr/Sa/Su off. 4:30 pm to 3:00 am
Weekend Shift: 3X12 FLEX- 3 12 hr days Fri-Sun; Mo/Tu/We/Thurs off. 6:00 am to 6:30 pm
Basic Qualifications:
• 6 years experience relative to aircraft Manufacturing, Maintenance, Modification, Repair, & Overhaul.
• 4 years experience performing mechanical or avionics operational checkouts on aircraft.
Desired Skills:
• Fighter aircraft (F-16, F-35, F-22), APG experience highly desirable.
• Tactical Aircraft Flight Operations experience.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking in a fast pace environment.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills.
• Leadership experience.
• Ability to lead a team to meet critical schedules and resolve technical issues.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications with ability apply their intent.
• Ability to understand aircraft work instructions and technical orders.
• Champion of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control measures.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
