Description:Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics company as an Aircraft Maintenance Quality Associate Manager on our Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) team! The selected individual shall manage the Quality Department staff and maintain the site Quality Management System for F-35 aircraft Foreign Military Sales (FMS) support located at Ebbing Field, Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

Responsibilities include:

- Supervision of Quality Engineers, leads and Quality Control Inspectors performing Flight Line maintenance and modification inspections at various locations to assure safety of flight.
- Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, hiring and training, performance assessment, salary, time-cards and recognition/disciplinary actions.
- Assist Environmental, Safety and Health Manager with program compliance and requirements.
- Assist with Confined Space program application as required.
- Responsible for resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm.
- Responsible for all aspects of quality for assigned area of responsibility.
- Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations to customers.
- Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes.
- Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met.
- Ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements.
- Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within area of responsibility.
- Ensures effective implementation of a metrics program and actively addresses adverse trends.
- Ensures product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements.
- Responsible for continuous improvement with a focus on reducing cost and improving product quality performance.
- Maintains close integration with Government and Maintenance customers to quickly adapt to changing environment and responsible for maintaining customer relationship both externally and internally.
- Conduct or manage investigations of any non-conformity, incident, accident, mishap or infraction through closure, including evaluation and acceptance of responses.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions.
- Conduct or manage internal process audits ensuring compliance to local written procedures, customer requirements and local command media.
- Ensure timely review, publication and control of required design and development input documents.
- Manage direct report training requirements to ensure currency
- Act as the point of contact and liaison for Ground Government Flight Representatives (GGFR) communications.
Considered candidates must:
- Be willing and capable of working 1st or 2nd shifts, dependent on customer needs.
- Be willing and capable of travel based on customer needs.
- Obtain an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting. Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Have a valid state Driver’s License.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

- Minimum of 10 years of military aircraft maintenance experience.
- Must possess two years of experience in a quality role in a military aircraft maintenance environment.
- Must possess 3 years of experience in a leadership role in a military aircraft maintenance environment.

- Bachelor degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct Mishap/Incident investigations.
- Demonstrated experience with Corrective Action Request processes and procedures.
- Experience with F-35 Action Requests.
- Working knowledge of Confined Space Program
- Experience with AS9100 Internal Audit processes and procedures.
- Experience with DCMA 8210 compliance requirements and operating procedures.
- Experience with managing records and document control.
- Full understanding of AFI 21-101 and related instructions and associated instructions
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse workforce.
- Experience in developing and implementing Quality, Tool Control and FOD policies.
- Ability to develop work schedules and assign tasks.
- Ability to work in a flexible schedule environment.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Ability to present Quality Management System briefings to upper echelon leadership.
- Working knowledge of Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training and Security.
- Experienced in clear and competent communications with all levels of management and customer representatives to include Lockheed leadership, military and DCMA representatives.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
