Day in the Life:

As the Assistant FBO Manager at Jet Access, youll provide essential leadership support while maintaining hands-on involvement in daily operations at your assigned FBO location. Heres what your role encompasses:

 

Operational Leadership & Team Management As second-in-command at your FBO location, youll provide essential leadership oversight while maintaining hands-on involvement in daily operations and team development.

  • Oversee day-to-day FBO operations and supervise all team members when FBO Manager is not on site
  • Direct and coordinate aircraft servicing activities, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to develop future leaders and maintain high performance standards
  • Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and disciplinary actions for location personnel, including completion of required documentation
  • Facilitate shift coverage and manage responses to unexpected operational events
  • Serve as backup leadership when FBO Manager is unavailable, maintaining operational continuity

 

Customer Service & Revenue Generation Building lasting relationships with aviation clients while delivering premium service experiences that drive business growth and reinforce the Jet Access brand.

  • Provide exceptional, proactive, and personalized customer experiences to all general aviation clientele
  • Develop and maintain relationships with base and transient customers to drive revenue growth
  • Manage concierge-level services including hotel arrangements, catering coordination, and ground transportation scheduling
  • Educate customers on available services, promotions, and programs to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Resolve customer questions and issues promptly while maintaining service excellence standards

 

Financial & Administrative Management Ensuring accurate financial operations and administrative excellence while maintaining compliance with company standards and operational procedures.

  • Operate Point of Sale systems, process accurate customer invoicing, and manage aging reports reconciliation
  • Complete and review daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and reconciliations
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory values and coordinate product ordering for location-specific items
  • Process daily bank deposits and ensure financial compliance standards
  • Execute company standards for mystery shop programs and maintain fuel pricing compliance

 

Safety & Quality Assurance Maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence while coordinating critical aircraft services and regulatory compliance.

  • Ensure quality control of fuel, equipment, and safety protocols across all operations
  • Coordinate essential services including aircraft fueling, GPU, lavatory service, and hangar storage
  • Communicate effectively via air-to-ground radio, ground-to-ground radio, and other communication systems
  • Maintain Airport Authority relations and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Accesss continued growth and success

What will make you successful:

Required Skills & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of customer service or operations experience, preferably in aviation or hospitality
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn FBO-specific software systems
  • Valid state Drivers License with clean driving record
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) while bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience supervising team members
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to make quick, sound decisions while maintaining customer service standards and safety protocols
  • Flexible time management skills and ability to work without direct supervision
  • Must pass background checks and pre-employment screening

Additional Qualities That Will Make You Successful:

  • Previous FBO, airport operations, or aviation industry experience
  • Experience with Point of Sale systems and financial reconciliation processes
  • Knowledge of aircraft types, fueling procedures, and ground support equipment
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety protocols
  • Experience with inventory management and vendor relationships
  • Proven track record of developing and mentoring team members
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with proactive approach to operational challenges
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with high-net-worth clients and aviation professionals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion
  • Experience with radio communications and aircraft ground handling procedures
  • Understanding of concierge services and luxury customer service standards

  •       Flexibility required to cover unexpected schedule changes and peak operational periods

 

Compensation:

  •       Base Salary Range: $45,000 – $60,000 (annualized), paid bi-weekly
  •       Performance-based incentive opportunities
  •       This position is classified as FLSA Exempt
