Job Description:

1. Ensure 24/7 coverage of the operations team in terms of shift planning, leave approvals and taking into account unscheduled leaves and training events. Proposes adaptations of shift patterns based on operational requirements.

2. Coordinate and dispatch workload in daily operations based on priorities.

3. Train and coach the team. Contribute to team competence management including assessments, and sharing expertise. Coordinates job rotation and cross-training whenever necessary. Contribute to people&39;s development.

4. Ensure existing processes, working instructions are respected and followed by the team. Ensure proper deployment of new processes. Assess process effectiveness, identify process weaknesses and propose process improvements. Ensure relevant working instructions are up-to-date.

5. Contribute & arrange team competence and performance management including assessments, coaching the team, and sharing expertise. Assist in team performance reviews.

6. Monitor the daily operational performance of the operations team including supervision of the team at work. Identify, analyse non-performance root causes and contribute to corrective actions and manage escalations from stakeholders at the first level.

7. Establish and maintain a working relationship with Transport service providers.

8. Act as the first level escalation point for urgent requirements/operational critical situations and operational issues from both operations team and tracking team.

9. Monitor supply chain events impacting Transport operations, with contribution to operational adaptations to ensure operational continuity.

10. Ensure adequate reporting to the manager on day-to-day operations.

11. Facilitate team compliance towards applicable transport regulations such as Dangerous Goods Regulations, Export Control regulations, etc.

12. Assist the manager as directed, including deputations where necessary.
