The FLIGHT DECK Learning Leader will design, develop and measure the curriculum for GE Aerospace’s lean operating model known as FLIGHT DECK. The candidate will be responsible for bringing FLIGHT DECK content to life at scale for GE Aerospace. The ideal candidate will help improve organizational effectiveness and operating results by creating content and curricula that resonate with intended audiences across the organization.The FLIGHT DECK Learning Leader will have strong technical skills with a clear understanding of learning and development pedagogy. This role will work closely in collaboration with our Learning and Development, Communications, and FLIGHT DECK teams. The ideal candidate may not have experience with lean content but must be ready to learn and be passionate about enabling culture change through learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect FLIGHT DECK learning experiences in consultation with internal subject matter experts and stakeholders; partner with business to bring standard content to life
- Responsible for the success of the FLIGHT DECK curriculum and related development experiences, ensuring FLIGHT DECK is woven throughout an integrated curriculum, collaborating with Learning and Development, Communications, and the Business Units
- Manage a portfolio of learning offerings and resources, including planning, learning design, learning delivery, learning evaluation and iteration
- Partner with business to bring standard FLIGHT DECK content to life; design and deliver learning solutions utilizing several channels and modalities
- Use Voice of the Customer to assess the learning needs of the organization, adapting content and curriculum to improve organizational effectiveness
- Leverage multiple feedback mechanisms to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (preferred: Instructional Systems Design, Adult Learning, Education)
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in contemporary instructional design and development, in a corporate environment
- Experience in consulting with leaders and serving as a strategic partner to adapt content and learning to meet the needs of the intended audience
- Excellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational and change agent skills
- If remote, ability to travel 30
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a COE or matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations and make judgments based on practice or previous experience.
- Capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding, high performance work environment and team- oriented culture.
- Experience with lean or Sig Sigma methodologies and using AI as a learning platform.
