Maintenance and/or Fleet Management
• Provide strategic leadership and operational direction for regional fleet maintenance and repair operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and optimal asset performance across all locations under your purview.
• Develop and implement comprehensive fleet maintenance programs that align with business goals and regulatory requirements, ensuring high vehicle uptime and operational efficiency.
• Ensure 100 compliance of fleet assets with all applicable federal and local regulatory standards, including USDA, FDA, OSHA, and DOT.
• Maintain oversight of licensing, registration, insurance, and documentation to ensure readiness for audits and inspections at all times.
• Drive fleet safety initiatives by proactively identifying risk factors, enforcing preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring all equipment is in compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead the selection, onboarding, and performance management of third-party maintenance vendors and contractors, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, and cost controls.
• Evaluate service delivery from external providers and internal technicians, ensuring all repairs and maintenance activities are performed to specification, on schedule, and within budget.
• Oversee the execution and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, corrective maintenance workflows, and asset lifecycle tracking using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Champion the use of digital platforms and analytics tools (e.g., CMMS, GPS, dash cams, GroundStar, 360 cameras) to monitor fleet performance, route optimization, compliance, and technician productivity.
• Design and deliver targeted training programs for internal CSC staff and third-party vendors to ensure consistent understanding and application of NAM fleet maintenance policies, procedures, and CMMS usage.
• Ensure all stakeholders are equipped to use fleet systems effectively and consistently, fostering a data-driven maintenance culture.
• Enforce rigorous safety protocols and procedures, reducing hazards and increasing accountability among maintenance teams.
• Proactively remove or rehabilitate unsafe equipment and tooling to reduce liability and enhance workplace safety.
Leadership
• Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
• Guide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees within the Human Resources Policy
• Participates in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the team
• Make the companys values and management principles live in the department(s)
• Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
• Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety
