The principal duty of this position is to provide supervision, leadership and operations support to the business, ensuring smooth and efficient production of jet engine disassembly, inspection, assembly, and test processes. This will require the incumbent to continually search for opportunities to enhance the receiving and inspection processes and warehouse operations using a variety of problem-solving techniques, effective interpersonal and communication skills, along with technical competencies. Incumbent will motivate, coach, and encourage employees to optimize standard work, career development and personal satisfaction. The Gate 2 BUM will promote excellent employee relations and empowerment of all assigned personnel. This role will partner with the BUMs from Gate 1 and Gate 3 as well as off-shift BUMs to meet expectations of engines in progress. This role reports to the Associate Director, Supply Chain.
What You Will Do:

Ensure appropriate staffing levels for Gate 2, both hourly and salary
Manage and coach operations’ supervisors supervising hourly employees within a cellular environment
Ensure all production activity meets established quality standards and cost estimates; lead analysis and development of processes, performance metrics, and trends to drive increased performance and production cycle time
Interface with Quality, Gate 1 and Gate 2 Operations, Finance, and Engineering to support integrated value stream solutions
Aid in the development of budgets, forecasts, succession planning, and strategic development
Direct the justification and acquisition of capital equipment
Coach employees to develop a motivated, effective team and proactively address performance issues, as needed
Meet business metrics goals as defined for each cell (Cost, Quality, Hiring, Delivery, EH&S).
Lead process improvement opportunities using Lean Strategies to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time and reduce operational costs.
Implement root-cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Meet the schedule, plan and execute contingency plans.
Administer CEC’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance and equitable treatment for all employees.
Demonstrates commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience to include manufacturing or logistics operations and leadership experience.
Experience leading corporate initiatives promoting safety, continuous improvement ,employee engagement, and career development

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
