Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Gauge Calibrator/Database Manager to be part of our experienced technical team at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. The SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a tenant of NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility. SCSC provides live combat system suites with platform-specific radars and sensors as well as supporting the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering; platform certification; operational and technical evaluation; combat system training; interoperability testing; and participation in at-sea exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity representative combat system of every ship in the AEGIS/Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today and those planned in the future.
The selected candidate will:
maintain the gauge calibration program and the Test Equipment Metrology program, including accountability of all gauges and test equipment at the AEGIS/SSDS and V3 facilities at SCSC Wallops Island. Successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining certification of the gauge calibration bench. Candidate will carry out duties associated with a work center supervisor, utilizing SKED program in accordance with the Navy’s Maintenance Material Management (3M) system and also would be responsible for documenting all maintenance actions associated with gauges and test equipment, including repair part requisitions, using the OMNS-NG program.
Provide regular, periodic reports covering gauge calibration and test equipment, detailing and reporting of failures and status.
