The General Manager, Sustainability Building Technologies (SBT) is a strategic business leader responsible for scaling the SBT business globally with the current context of favorable macro tailwinds, such as urbanization, climate change, and digitalization. You will help SBT reach new heights by driving market assessment, strategic growth, and geographical expansion, as well as relationship building with key industry stakeholders.  For our clients, this means becoming more energy efficient with the existing asset base while modernizing and building back better and new infrastructures (i.e., buildings, airports) to support these narratives. The growth of the business will be well coordinated with other Honeywell businesses and enabling platforms, such as Honeywell Forge and Honeywell Venture, and the GM will also provide strategic input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the Sustainability organization, specifically relating to the evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.

 

You will report directly to the VP Global Projects, SBT, and will work out of the Atlanta, GA location on a hybrid work schedule.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy - Ensure the successful development and execution of the SBT Strategic Plan (STRAP) on an annual basis, showing credible, clear growth, revenue, and profitability projections in order to provide direction at all times. Lead growth initiatives that achieve a leading position in each vertical and geographical market with an appropriate product, pricing, and channel strategy.
  • Business Performance - Ensure the execution of SBT Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and monitor performance on an ongoing basis in accordance with the Business STRAP to maximize the operating efficiency of the business and achieve/exceed the expected revenue, cash, operating income, and other financial objectives.
  • Business Development & Growth - Grow the business and ensure financial success. Identify new market spaces and adjacencies and apply innovative financial models to enable business and revenue growth, including recurring revenue model (SaaS). Maintain responsibility for major contracts across strategic accounts, channels, and partners. Ensure cross-functional coordination between Sales, Project Operations, and Manufacturing for business to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue commitments.    
  • Marketing - Monitor and evaluate the external competitive business environments across the pole to identify industry and market trends, developing a vision and marketing roadmap for each regional market to achieve strategic sales growth and profitability targets.
  • Sales & Customer Management - Oversee the development and execution of sales strategies and customer management for distribution to the end users for the SBT organization, with functional leadership playing a critical role in achieving the overall Business STRAP and specific regional/market conditions to ensure that revenue and growth targets are achieved.
  • Business Transformation - Ensure the identification, development, leadership, and implementation of SBT business transformation initiatives that are required to support revenue growth, profitability, and customer excellence targets that are essential to the achievement of the SBT strategic direction and vision.
  • People - Ensure that the SBT organization attracts, retains, and develops a high level of talent with the right skills, experience, knowledge, and performance levels in the right places to achieve strategic sales, growth, profit, and customer satisfaction objectives. YOU MUST HAVE

  • 10+ years of experience operating in senior leadership roles in global businesses
  • Full P&L responsibility experience
  • Strategic and growth mindset with demonstrated track record of transforming and/or scaling businesses
