We are seeking a Senior level Health, Safety, andEnvironmental (HSE) professional to join the Honeywell Industrial Automation(IA) team. This individual will be a member of the Smart Energy (SME) Team at the Columbus facility, responsible for driving HSEcontinuous improvement, compliance, and engagement within our manufacture site. The role reports to the MMOC Sr. Director HSE and has direct reports.
As an HSE Manager, the successful candidate must be results driven and able todevelop strong relationships with the site leadership team. The candidatemust be compliance focused and provide hands-on support with the ability todeploy continuous improvement through a strong MOS; to drive goals, objectives,improve culture and behaviors.
We are looking for a strong people and process leader, capable of managing,coaching/mentoring an HSE professional and site supervision at the Munciefacility. The individual must be a well-rounded leader that can managehealth, safety, and environmental programs in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing a compliance strategy; both Honeywell HSE Management System, and regulatory requirements at a manufacturing location.
- Heavy focus on injury reduction through culture and behaviors initiatives.
Leading the execution of the Smart Energy (SME) HSE vision and mission through deployment of the HSE ISC Management System. - Partner with the site leadership team to achieve the SME ISC goals and objectives.
- Ability to reduce the risk profile in Columbus by identifying gaps through self-assessment, audits, GEMBAs, and 3rd party inspections.
- Strong ability to use Honeywell Operating System/Lean Practices and Principles to develop, deploy, and continuously improve HSE results and improve efficiencies.
- Work in concert with Industrial Automation (IA) HSEPS to assure consistent and effective auditing of regulatory requirements and Honeywell Level 1 and Level 2 Standards.

YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelors degree in safety, engineering or related technical field.
- At least 8 years of progressive health, safety, and environmental experience, with increased responsibility.
- Leadership experience in managing people.
- Knowledge and experience in manufacturing environment.

- Firm understanding of OSHAs standard as well as their Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)
