JOB TITLE: Supplier Development Manager
JOB LOCATION: 150 East Drive, Macon, GA 31216 (Telecommuting permitted within the state of Georgia).
JOB DUTIES:
Lead Embraer’s growing Supplier Development Team, focusing on creating strong relationships and identifying operational opportunities with global and local suppliers. Direct onsite deployment of supplier liaisons and relationship managers to recover critical suppliers and/or secure supply stability for further improvement of Embraer global operations. Direct, coordinate, and synchronize team members efforts and activities throughout the world. Interact with Supplier’s and Embraer’s operational leadership to define, manage, and follow up on investigation of Supplier’s issues and root causes. Identify the required resources from Embraer and Suppliers to solidify improvement plans. Spearhead strategic supply-chain solutions that will positively impact Embraer and its customers. Set performance targets for team members and special projects. Oversee Supplier Development and Rescue projects on a global scale. Modify scope of supplier liaisons (change of suppliers, frequency of visits and level of engagement), as required and in line with business demands. Provide regular reports on action plans agreed with Suppliers. Promote integration, enhancement, communication, and conflict mediation between Supplier’s and Embraer’s operational teams. Present status of ongoing projects to Embraer’s executive leadership. Forecast the required budget for resource allocation (financial and headcount) to continue Supplier Development and Rescue projects on a yearly basis. Monitor the team’s budget and current costs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or relation occupations. Experience must include: Embraer’s Commercial, Defense, and Executive aircraft models; Managing a cross-functional team and leading supply-chain projects in a large aircraft design & manufacturing environment; Developing and implementing category/commodity strategies for aircraft seats, monuments, engines, propulsion and hydraulic systems, flight controls, and avionics; Leading process improvements and deployment of delivery assurance systems to ensure early identification of supply shortages; Negotiating and enforcing Supplier and Production Support Agreements in the aerospace industry; Application of P3E concepts and strategies in supply-chain operations; Aircraft design concepts, manufacturing strategies, assembly site planning, and supply-chain integration; SAP MRP, Doors, CCPM programs, BI applications, and PLM software; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); FAA, ANAC, EASA regulations. Experience can be concurrent.
SALARY: $175,000.00 to $205,000.00/ per year
HOURS: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM / 40 hours/week
