Indirect Tax Manager

Our brilliant Tax team are responsible for managing the tax affairs of the worldwide easyJet Group – including managing tax compliance, tax reporting and provision of tax advisory services to the business across all jurisdictions (principally UK and Europe) where the Group has a tax presence.

Reporting to the Director of Tax and Fuel Strategy, and managing two direct reports, our Indirect Tax Manager role is hands on and responsible for ensuring all indirect tax returns are filed in accordance with Tax Authority deadlines and any payments made in accordance with the respective deadlines –utilising the direct reports  and of course our external tax advisors.
This role is responsible for ensuring all systems across the business are set up correctly to record and report VAT, APD and TOMS, and supporting the business on all indirect tax advisory matters, shaping proposals and cross functional collaboration to ensure projects are optimised for indirect tax purposes.

Due to the post COVID growth of the business and changes in the business environment this is an exciting time to join a dynamic, pro-active, commercially focussed Tax team at easyJet - this role will continue to develop and grow with the business, a fantastic opportunity for someone to come in and really make things their own!

What you need to do the role
We are looking for a commercially focused, innovative & ambitious person to join the UK’s largest airline. To do this role you need to be fully qualified (CTA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc) with at least 2 years PQE. Strong experience working in Indirect Tax is a must, plus being comfortable with influencing and challenging our external tax advisors and our business stakeholders - ensuring we make the right decisions for the easyJet Group. Strong advisory experience is key, unlocking and protecting value for the business. You need strong attention to detail and Excel skills & demonstrable cross functional working.

Location and Hours of Work
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
