The Industrial Procurement Manager will support the OneSat Payload Major Module, working with Tesat to help secure OTOCOQ delivery of all equipment procured for the PLMM from Tesat.
The successful candidate shall be involved in both strategic and some operational activities in support of the PLMM.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Bids - Working closely with the bid team to understand future requirements and agree a strategic approach for requesting and providing accurate timely bid input from TESAT to the bid team. Preparing inputs to the bid team in terms of evaluation of supplier responses including cost, schedule, risks and opportunities and flow down of specific caveats and commercial terms.
Procurement Support – Working very closely with the OneSat industrial and procurement team to define the procurement requirements for Tesat equipment on a multi project basis, ensuring RFPs are issued and quotations received and evaluated in a timely manner to allow procurement decisions to take place. Ensuring contractual documents are implemented that flow down of the project requirements and any specific end customer requests (this is where the close relationship with the bid team is important) is covered.
Continuous Improvement: - In addition, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing a Continuous Improvement Plan (as set out in the LTA) with Tesat. This activity shall focus on process, schedule and technical improvements. That will also result in cost and schedule improvements The IM will manage this process between the parties, agree the plan and specific actions, set targets and agree how this will be measured in the form or KPIs and report progress. This plan shall be an ongoing live document.
Relationship Building: The ability to build strong working relationships with Key stakeholders is vital in this role. Present to the wider project team and on occasion, senior management.
Operational Support: - Supporting the operational activities as may be required to ensure Tesat deliveries are made in accordance with the contractual requirements. To include; Regular contact with the supplier and management of contract implementation, timely and accurate reporting to the OneSat IPT, facilitate appropriate technical interaction between project and supplier(s) and other stakeholders on specific activities.
Identifying risks and proposing/agreeing and ensuring implementation of mitigating actions Escalation at the supplier or within Airbus as relevant.
ABOUT YOU
Degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
Sound skills and knowledge of: Procurement / Engineering / Quality/ Manufacturing
Background in Aerospace, preferably Space industry
Strong communication skills including active listening and empathy
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence and convince
