The MV CLCM Industry & Supply Chain Manager reports to the Deputy Project Director and supports the customer in supplier sourcing strategy, defining supplier requirements and managing Australian Industry Capability (AIC) for the MV Asset Class platforms.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Develop and maintain the MV SPO supplier strategy, cognisant of changes to the MV capability Operating Support Intent and budget provisions;
  • Conduct supplier sourcing activities as required and in alignment to the supplier strategy and AIC requirements;
  • Be the lead on developing and refining supplier statements of work (SOW) working with the customer, engineers, suppliers and other subject matter experts;
  • Provide guidance in relation to supplier governance arrangements, including effective supplier due diligence, supplier performance management and supplier relationship management;
  • Management of the AIC obligations, specifically:
    • Conducting supplier sourcing reviews to test the spanet;
    • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including Enterprise partners, suppliers, Office of Defence Industry Support, state government defence departments, and industry groups;
    • Act as a point of contact for general industry enquiries relating to MV supply opportunities; and
    • Identify opportunities to increase indigenous-owned and veteran-owned businesses in the MV supply chain;
    • Develop and implement AIC reporting.


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • A University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related discipline is desirable; or equivalent experience or training;
  • Multiple years of experience in supplier engagement and management is required;
  • Demonstrated experience is required in:
    • developing supplier sourcing strategies and conducting sourcing activities;
    • defining and writing supplier requirements and SOWs;
    • working with core customer stakeholders to understand and deliver to requirements
  • Exposure to Australian Defence environment and policies is desirable.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV-1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
