ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

As Innovation Associate Project Manager within the S&GE team you are the operational heartbeat of SITA’s Central Innovation Fund (CIF). You will run the fund’s mechanics and governance (from intake to stage gate decisions), produce portfolio reporting and executive packs, and enable innovation project leaders to reach their potential and maximize business impact across SITA’s portfolio. Expect frequent exposure to senior stakeholders and cross functional collaboration with Product, Sales, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Technology.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Central Innovation Fund Operations

• Run the CIF intake funnel: calls for ideas, triage, criteria checks, and eligibility screening.
• Ensure innovation project teams conduct appropriate due diligence (spanet, customer, technical, feasibility, risk) and coordinate stage‑gate reviews and steering forums; capture decisions and follow‑ups.
• Maintain the portfolio’s single source of truth (pipeline, stage, budget burn, minutes and decision logs) and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.

Reporting, Insights & Executive Communication

• Build monthly budget and portfolio reports (at a minimum PowerPoint/Excel charts)
• Prepare occasional executive synthesis packs with outcome narratives; turn complex analysis into concise storylines and visuals.

Enablement for Innovation Project Leaders

• Draft clear funding and decision guidelines for the project teams, and provide relevant feedback on draft materials
• Coach project owners on problem framing, impact metrics (revenue, cost, customer outcomes), and evidence‑led decision making.
• Help create lightweight business cases and customer test plans; when possible, connect teams with the right internal or external experts, and identify relevant insights to accelerate learning.

Governance, Compliance & Budget Stewardship

• Partner with Finance on budget tracking and spend controls; with Legal/Procurement on vendor onboarding, IP, and privacy/data guidelines.
• Keep CIF policies, templates, and guidance current; drive continuous process improvement.

Community & Culture of Innovation

• Run demo days, showcases, and learning sessions for the broader SITA audience; curate case studies and contribute to an internal knowledge base of experiments and outcomes.

Contribute to SITA’s innovation narrative by highlighting wins and learnings to be distributed by Marketing and Sales Ops across the business.

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

• 2–4 years’ experience in innovation PMO, corporate venture/accelerator, product operations, strategy/consulting, or adjacent roles in technology/aviation.
• Hands‑on experience operating stage‑gate or investment governance and producing executive‑level readouts (portfolios, business cases, KPIs).
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; working familiarity with BI/project tools (e.g., Power BI, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent written and verbal English; confident presenting to diverse stakeholders.

NICE-TO-HAVE

• Exposure to airline/airport domains or aviation tech ecosystems.
• Experience with experiment design, customer discovery, or product discovery.
• Familiarity with P&L impact evaluation and go‑to‑spanet readiness assessments.
• Familiarity with venture funding and startup valuation methodologies
