Job Description
The Payroll Intern will support the payroll team in processing employee salaries, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. This internship provides hands-on experience in payroll operations, HR processes, and finance coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Support:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
- Help calculate salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, and bonuses.
- Verify employee attendance, leave records, and timesheets.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Support compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, EIS, Income Tax, MPF).
- Maintain accurate payroll records and files.
- Assist in preparation of payroll-related reports for management and auditors.
Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with HR for updates on new hires, terminations, salary changes, and leave.
- Respond to employee queries under supervision.
- Coordinate with finance for payroll reconciliation if needed.
Process Improvement & Learning:
- Learn and assist in implementing payroll systems and automation tools.
- Suggest improvements for payroll processes under guidance.
