Inventory & Supplier Manager

Your role

As an Inventory & Supplier Manager in the Maintenance & Engineering Department, you will reporting to the Director Technical Asset Management, the Inventory & Supplier Manager will manage all the aspect of the inventory and supplier management within the Aer Lingus fleet, as well as the commercial aspects of the component’s contract. Our Maintenance & Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring timely delivery of high-quality parts and materials, reducing the risk of disruptions to maintenance schedules and flight operations.

 

Your responsibilities as an Inventory & Supplier Manager will include:

  • Manage a team of Inventory & Supplier management specialists to reach department targets (i.e. internal service level).
  • Lead and implement transformational initiatives to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of processes in place.
  • Ensure management of inventory, stock optimisation and inventory policy setting for all Aer Lingus aircraft.
  • Inventory management, stock optimisation and inventory policy setting for all Aer Lingus aircraft technical stocks located throughout the Aer Lingus network.
  • Regular review and identification of excess and slow-moving stock in respect of all material classes, specifically concerning consumable-expendable and rotable inventory.
  • Supplier and Contract management and oversight of contracted component maintenance providers.
  • Managing, provide support as necessary, and acting as key interface to IAG Procurement regarding group inventory and procurement initiatives.
  • Invoice and Finance reconciliation for high-cost items.
  • Develop and maintain all required process/procedures relating to the materials section.
  • Comply with relevant Quality, Health and Safety requirements.

Your qualifications and key criteria

We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:

  • Engineering or University degree in a Business discipline.
  • More than 3 year technical experience in an airline or Aircraft MRO.
  • Understanding of a component’s maintenance contract.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • knowledge of maintenance software AMOS.
  • Experience managing and restructuring multimillion PBH and T&M contracts with major OEMs.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently and make decisions.
  • Previous management experience would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
