Hiring Company: STS Technical Services
STS Technical Services is hiring an experienced Inventory Control Specialist at the manager level to oversee asset allocation and distribution processes for a leading aviation client in Miami. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, driving operational efficiency, and improving ERP and MRO systems across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accuracy of inventory through physical counts and team supervision
- Conduct frequent audits and reconcile variances in PMI inventory systems
- Document inventory movement and validate adjustments
- Generate reports for inventory locations, quantities, and values
- Collaborate with accounting and purchasing departments to ensure accurate inventory valuation
- Test and interface new PMI systems and serve as department liaison
- Plan and execute inventory system training programs
- Produce weekly reports on shelf-life parts, MIA inspections, and more
- Improve policies and processes for Materials Stores and Inventory Control
- Maximize efficiencies to reduce materials cost
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Performance Standards / Measurements
- Generate inventory allocation and cost reports
- Set pricing for inventory and ensure availability for financial audits
- Keep the Director of Supply Chain & Logistics updated on shortfalls
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions
- Determine and maintain correct stock levels at all locations
- Ensure billing over 100 GLs is accurate with Accounting/Finance
- Support team development to meet departmental objectives
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience/certification
- Strong understanding of accounting practices and financial reporting
- Expertise in inventory and stores management practices
- Proven success in planning, resource allocation, and coordination
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience managing teams and supporting career progression
- Must pass a 10-year background check for SIDA badge
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position includes direct reports and will be responsible for training and leading a team to achieve departmental goals.
Language Skills
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are required. Must be able to write professional correspondence and effectively present ideas and reports.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary role in an office environment
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Frequent use of hands, arms, and standard office equipment
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility
- Ability to work under pressure and travel domestically/internationally as needed
