UOP LLC, headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, USA, is a leading international supplier and licensor of process technology, catalysts, adsorbents, process plants, and consulting services to the petroleum refining, petrochemical, and gas processing industries. UOP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell International, Inc. and is part of Honeywells Performance Materials and Technologies strategic business group.

UOP is hiring an experienced Lead Account Manager with Full Cycle Sales accountability in the Adsorbent industry. This position will preferably be based in Houston, TX or Des Plaines, IL; would consider other remote locations.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Forecast product demand and revenue from assigned accounts 18 months into the future and deliver on resulting annual targets.
  • Manage customer relationships and coverage by sharing information and developing account plans throughout UOP.
  • Lead opportunities through the entire sales cycle: Identify opportunity, clarify bid, develop sales strategy, enroll and aligning sales support, submit proposal, close the deal, work with order management, production planning and service to make, deliver and service the product.
  • Support Business and Technology functions by providing market and competitor intelligence.
  • Report and work with internal resources to resolve customer issues including legal agreements.
  • Maintain all internal work and sales processes, e.g. customer relation management tools

MUST HAVE:

  • BS degree
  • Minimum of 5 years day-to-day operating experience in a customer-facing sales or sales support role. 
  • Familiarity with adsorption fundamentals.
  • Fluency in English required.

 

WE VALUE:

  • Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • 6 or more years of direct product sales and/or sales support experience is preferred.
  • Purification requirements within the natural gas and petrochemical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to sell into a competitive marketplace and achieve premium prices by communicating the value achieved by the customer using UOP products and services.
  • Experience with adsorption/treating/purification applications in Midstream Natural Gas,
  • Industrial Gas, and/or Petrochemical is considered ideal.
  • Experience using SalesForce.Com (SFDC) is preferred.
  • Good listening and communication skills are desired.
  • The ability to work effectively with other sales colleagues and sales support functions is key.
  • A strong customer and business focus is desired.
  • The ability to travel 25 annually.
