Responsibilities:
Oversee and adjust daily shop operations to meet customer requirements.
Create and manage work orders to ensure jobs move efficiently through the shop.
Receive and process incoming units accurately and on time in internal systems.
Support technicians in following repair procedures, quality standards, and safety practices.
Organize workflow, scheduling, and shop-floor priorities.
Perform data entry in internal systems and customer-facing portals.
Provide workflow and performance updates during management or operations meetings.
Work hands-on with the team to maintain a collaborative environment.
Maintain accurate documentation for repair, rejection, and scrapping decisions.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the aviation industry.
Leadership experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
Willingness to perform hands-on shop work while leading a team.
Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
Ability to coordinate workflow, schedules, and job statuses.
Excellent communication skills for working with different levels of the organization.
Strong judgment, critical thinking, and attention to quality.
High school diploma or equivalent.
U.S. work authorization required; must comply with regulated and defense-related environments.
FAA Repairman Card or ability to obtain one quickly (highly preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an FAA Part 145 or similar regulated repair environment.
Familiarity with quality and regulatory standards (ISO 9001, AS9110, etc.).
Experience supporting defense or military contracts.
Previous lead mechanic or aviation repair supervisory experience.
Current FAA Repairman Card or previous A&P certification.
Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
Forklift experience is a plus.
