Job Title: Lead Avionics TechnicianJob Description
This position requires a strong knowledge of aircraft airframe, avionics, and electronics systems. The role involves parts replacement or repair, electrical troubleshooting, and general mechanical applications. Supervision of the team and direction of project flow will be a primary function. Routine duties include work order processing, logbook entries, form completion, and customer pricing. This position requires independent work and leadership on multiple projects and involves direct customer contact. The role supports a variety of airframe manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair existing systems.
- Install, wire, and mount avionics systems and accessories in aircraft.
- Receive customer orders from Avionics Manager.
- Analyze details of installations.
- Determine overall project solutions and methods.
- Ensure correct interface of equipment being installed.
- Pull appropriate parts.
- Create or obtain proper wiring diagrams per specifications.
- Fabricate equipment shelves per customer specifications.
- Fabricate and install antenna doublers.
- Modify existing instrument panels or fabricate new panels.
- Properly program and configure installed equipment.
- Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components when designated.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean hanger, recently remodeled to look brand new. It can get colder in winter. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 1st shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Occasionally, weekend work may be required but is rare.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
