POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a combination of warehouse, shipping and/or receiving tasks, as well as tracks company inventory.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Masters in all aspects in Logistics with regards to Quantum, Receiving, and Shipping processes.
- Able to perform any task of a Logistics Operator I, II, & III.
- Source and Create purchase requisitions for all items needed to support stores operations.
- Ensures that AOG’s, Critical, Back Orders and Routines are processed accordingly.
- Suggests improvements in process and procedures.
- Research information pertaining to Quantum orders.
- Coordinates the training for new Stores personnel on all SOP’s, procedures, work instructions.
- Has an understanding of our RSM & QCM and responsibilities with regards to internal and external Audits.
- Monitor and fix any issues related to Quantum or able to escalate to the appropriate party.
- Delegation of daily tasks given by the Supervisor of Logistics to the Logistics team.
- Sort inbound flow and push hourly load to receivers and shippers (including manual exchanges).
- Will notify customers by phone and/ or e-mail when AOG shipments occur, and the information is required.
- Create Picks per our SLA.
- Maybe requested to work as the back up to the Supervisor of Logistics
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Education:
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- An associate degree or Technical Certification is preferred when doing HAZMAT shipping.
Experience:
- FLSA Non-Exempt, Top-Level Expert in Service, Production or Support Worker role requiring advanced skills to perform all standard tasks within the function as well as specialized tasks.
- Preferably 5+ years of experience or greater in area of responsibility.
- Assignments require thorough knowledge in technical and specialty areas and in all possible tasks and responsibilities of the job function.
- Role takes leadership for applying new processes and skills to improve the operations status quo.
- Significant Impact within job and their department based on their work responsibilities is at the highest level.
- Errors could adversely impact customer business, materials, or equipment most significantly.
- Forklift certified and ability to operate machinery and power-tools.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving functions, Hazmat, international, as well as domestic.
- Knowledge of inventory systems and methods used.
- Advanced knowledge of Quantum.
- Ability to understand work and procedures, acting in problem solving, suggesting improvements.
- Housekeeping duties and maintenance of clean work area 5s.
- Must be able to keep standards of productivity and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
