Job Description:
The Aircraft Logs and Records Supervisor is responsible for the management and sustainment of all aircraft logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records, aircraft maintenance files, records and reports, directives and correspondence in an aircraft maintenance and operations environment in accordance with applicable publications and instructions. Supervise assigned Logs and Records staff/employees to include employee performance, addressing personnel issues, generating assignments, and setting completion priorities. Responsible for all data processing, data entry and NALCOMIS Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) administrative oversight and support at both main operating base (MOB) and detachments. Responsible for accuracy and timely submission of weekly, monthly, yearly, aircraft/engine management and inventory reporting system reports. Responsible for preparing and processing readiness documents, administering the aircraft configuration status accounting program and verification of aircraft utilization reports. Responsible for accuracy and submission of aircraft/engine management and inventory reporting system reports. Initiate and distribute applicable maintenance forms in accordance with established procedures. Ensure established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facility and job assignment are strictly adhered to.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all duties of the job classification.
Responsible for the upkeep and sustainment of all aircraft logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records, aircraft maintenance files, records and reports, directives, and correspondence in an aircraft maintenance and operations environment in accordance with applicable publications and instructions.
Supervise assigned Logs and Records employees to include performance, addressing personnel issues, generating assignments, and setting completion priorities.
Assign and direct the productive efforts of assigned employees to ensure the timely completion of all required aircraft logbook and Configuration Management Auto-Log Set (CM ALS) matters.
Must understand the NALCOMIS Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) screening process of Maintenance Action Forms (MAFs) and/or work orders for required entries.
Responsible for all data processing, data entry, and NALCOMIS Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) administrative oversight and support main operating base and detachments.
Must maintain and manage direct control of custody records, logbooks, and Configuration Management Auto Log-sets (ALS) for all maintenance action requirements.
Responsible for accuracy and timely submission of daily, weekly, monthly, yearly aircraft/engine management and inventory reporting systems reports.
Coordinate all aviation maintenance administration-related actions with other affected work centers and provide technical assistance when needed.
Coordinates with PMO, the customer, and other Government entities regarding aircraft history/logbook matters, and provide assistance when needed.
Must have an in-depth knowledge of NAVAIR Deckplate Reports.
Prepare and submit necessary Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) reports to the Government in a timely matter.
Ensure work center cleanliness and that all employees present a courteous and professional demeanor when dealing with customers and co-workers.
Ensure established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facility, and job assignment are strictly adhered to.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
* Military VMET or JST MUST be included with application to be considered (if prior military)*
Must have ten (10) years of supervisory experience over aviation logs and records personnel in maintaining aircraft logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records and associated logs.
Completion of U.S. Armed Forces (AZ/6046) specialized “A” School listed on DD-214 or satisfactory completion of U.S. Navy Logs and Records curriculum courses and knowledge of NALCOMIS OMA-IMA software application.
Must be a graduate or U.S. Navy Logs and Records “A” School.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance ; active valid clearance preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Military CAC Card
Possess advance knowledge of CNAF / OPNAV INST 4790.2 series.
Be familiar with ISO 9001-2000 Program Awareness.
Must possess a Valid State Drivers License.
Advanced knowledge of NALCOMIS/ OOMA including Data Analyst and System Administrator skills.
Data Base Analyst (DBA) trained and/or certification - preferred.
Education
BA/BS from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines: engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, and professional aeronautics with 4 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements or,
Substitutions: AA/AS from an accredited college or university with 6 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements or,
High school graduate or equivalent. With 8 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements.
Job Requirements:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normally in an office environment, but occasionally work may be required in aircraft hangar and shop areas.
Primarily working in an office environment with minimum exposure to noise hazards.
May be required to handle hazardous materials.
Administrative duties that may require occasional kneeling, standing, stooping and bending are required.
Required lifting up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and keyboard input.
Travel as required by work and customer specifications.
Salary Range: $100K - $115K
