Position Summary
This role ensures the unit achieves its financial, operational and strategic objectives by overseeing daily operations, driving business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role combines commercial leadership, technical knowledge of and pharmaceutical manufacturing, and cross‑functional management (customer service, Supply chain, HR, import & export, Finance, Lean, Facilities, Tooling, engineering, quality, operations, EHS, Lean)
Responsibilities
Responsible for the financial performance through solid or dotted line responsibility for: Operations, Production Engineering and facility management.
Own P&L for the business unit; develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue, margin and spanet-share targets
Develop and execute the business unit´s strategy aligned with the Win Strategy goals.
Responsible for profitable growth through solid or dotted line responsibility for Business Development, spaneting, Strategic Pricing and Customer Service
Translate customer requirements into product/solution roadmaps and proposals through cross-functional teams (support areas, engineering, quality, supply chain, manufacturing) to deliver compliant, on‑time solutions.
Responsible for aspects of supply chain management through solid or dotted line for sourcing and procurement logistics & transportation materials
Responsible for business improvements through solid or dotted line responsibility for Lean, Quality and EHS.
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high quality products.
Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all employees understand and follow workplace safety rules.
Responsible for aspects of supply chain management through solid or dotted line responsibility for sourcing & procurement, logistics & transportation, materials and warehouse management.
Limited responsibility for aspects of shared service management for location or Business Unit HR, IT and Controller.
Provide regular reports on financial, operational and strategic performance
Lead, motivate and promote the business unit team to achieve high performance.
Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a culture of collaboration, recognition, and continuous improvement.
Serve as escalation point for customer issues; ensure high customer satisfaction and robust corrective/preventive actions
Develop and maintain relationships with key biopharma customers
Involvement with customers, specifically related to growth opportunities
Ensure promises to customers are met (lead time, customization, warranty)
Ensure global trade compliance and logistics ensure reliable, compliant and cost‑efficient delivery to the customers.
Qualifications
Education: University Degree or International equivalent
Experience Minimum required : 8 yrs in Operations Management and +4 years in Leadership Role (Biopharma, Life Science , Business or related field)
English level : Proficiency
Travel/No Travel : This role is based at Tijuana with no regular travel required
Additional Knowledge:
Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience
ISO 13485 system is desired
Knowledge of medical regulations, compliance, standards and safety protocols
Regulatory compliance & safety management
