Site Overview:
The GE Aerospace facility in McAllen, TX is one of our centers of expertise specializing in the repair of engine components used in commercial and military aircraft. These include LPT nozzles, HPT Nozzles, and HPT Hangars. Youll find state of the art technologies in CNC, EDM, & Coating as well as advanced technology development within our new Tech Lab!
Role Overview:
- Serve as the sites focal point for Quality with customers, headquarters, suppliers, and regulators/auditors while partnering with the Site Manager
- Establish and execute strategic roadmap for process capability and inspection technology
- Utilize FLIGHT DECK to drive APPS (At Point Problem Solving) to reduce rework/TAT and increase flow
- Drive a robust root cause corrective action process to assure product compliance to specifications
- Drive a culture of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, (SQDC) in that order
- Partner with cross-functional leadership to assess the operations needs and develop new solutions based upon precedents in the organizations
- Work on cross functional teams to cater to the Quality priorities
- Build solid relationships with key customers and suppliers, and ensure customer requirements are evaluated, documented and flowed down properly, and products are validated
- Present product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders (EB +) across GE Aerospace
- Support team development utilizing Quality Excellence Program (QEP)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Technical, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance/quality engineering roles
- Working knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, Part 145, FAA/EASA, or equivalent)
- Proven experience leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading teams or cross-functional projects
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with ability to engage at all levels of the organization and with customers
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable improvement plans
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace MRO component repair (engines, LRUs, accessories, or other aerospace components)
- Familiarity with lean/continuous improvement methodologies, as well as APQP fundamentals
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in Aerospace, aviation MRO, component repair, or highly regulated manufacturing environment
- People leadership experience
- Quality System working knowledge and/or Certification
