Maintenance Director (San Diego, CA)

Circle Air Group is the newest full service FBO and maintenance facility in San Diego located at Gillespie Field (KSEE).  We offer world-class concierge services, aircraft ground handling, line services, full class IV maintenance shop with avionics to corporate and general aviation customers. Our maintenance technicians are specializing in Citation, King Air, Gulfstream, Challenger, Falcon and larger aircraft.  At Circle Air, we provide exceptional personalized customer service to create a memorable experience and life-long customers. • Direct responsibility for all aircraft maintenance operations of FAA Part 145 Repair Station
• Aircraft Inspections
• Aircraft repair and overhaul
• Manufacturer Liaison
• Regulatory compliance with various governmental agencies
• Vendor relations
• Quality control
• Management of all maintenance, inspection, compliance and parts personnel including hiring, terminations and career development.  Improving on what is already a good team while maximizing department profitability.
• Assure that maintenance is completed to the highest standards and within all applicable regulations.
• Interface directly with customers to ensure that they understand exactly what work is required, what they can expect to pay, and rationale for proposed work.  We want to make customers feel that we are their “partner” in their aircraft operations, and secure their business for the long term.
• Oversee inspection/compliance operations to ensure that our records, permits and licenses are current and up to date.
• Business Development, expand existing maintenance business, procure lifelong customers and work with management to find new revenue opportunities that will contribute to the success of our business.
• Attend industry trade shows and training as required
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience and highly competitive within industry including base salary plus profit sharing.

• Minimum 10 years experience as A&P Mechanic
• 5+ years D.O.M. experience in Part 145 Repair facility, including financial, maintenance and employee management
• A&P License
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must pass drug test prior to employment, comply with Circle Air’s random drug testing policy and satisfy all DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements
• Must possess valid state Driver’s License and meet company insurance requirements
