BellAir, a Part 135 charter company, specializing in passenger charters with a fleet of jet and turboprop aircraft, has an immediate opening for a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our growing operation. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, organized and must be a team-oriented individual, capable of providing first-class customer service and care. A results-driven candidate with a history of strong performance will thrive in this position. Performs troubleshooting, operational testing, modification, inspection and repair of aircraft systems, instrument, electrical and electronic systems in accordance with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and specifications established by the FAA and Aircraft Manufacture.
Responsible for the performance of the Raleigh Executive Jetport (TTA) Maintenance Facility and AOG Response Teams, including the technicians and apprentices assigned to this position
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to the Director of Maintenance (DOM) for the monitoring and coordination of aircraft scheduling to achieve maintenance objectives. This includes long-range planning of heavy maintenance and ensuring availability to cover AOG aircraft
- Provide a daily report to the DOM showing the current status and accountability for all aircraft in maintenance under his jurisdiction
- Coordinate with DOM any changes to aircraft status due to mechanical delays, equipment limitations and part availability issues
- Exercise final administrative authority of all maintenance personnel, including supervision, training and personnel scheduling
- Work with senior management to resolve problems, improve processes, achieve goals, and maximize productivity
- Engage maintenance technicians in professional development through performance evaluations, training, and mentoring
- Accomplish other duties and tasks as assigned by the DOM in his absence
