Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department in a safe, efficient and productive manner while reducing manufacturing downtime and increasing production efficiencies.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate maintenance personnel work schedules to maintain and repair all plant production equipment, building and grounds, departmental organization, employee relations and timekeeping.
- Coordinate with applicable management for upgrades and repairs on plant equipment.
- Maintain maintenance budget monthly
- Maintain the maintenance storeroom inventory, including critical spare parts
- Manage projects both capital and noncapital.
- Maintain good communication with department leaders
A successful candidate will/have:
- High level of knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, PLC, Troubleshooting and Hydraulic Systems
- Effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to read and understand technical terminology
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other department leaders
- Willingness to learn/develop, as necessary
- Willingness to coach/develop and provide feedback to team
- Ability to track and monitor data trends & identify and troubleshoot equipment problems
Also note:
- This is a day-shift salary exempt position. Office hours are 7:30AM – 4:30PM, Monday-Friday, including a one-hour lunch.
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment where the dress code is business casual.
- Some work is required in an manufacturing environment but involves minimal physical effort and the degree of exposure to hazards is limited.
- Very little travel is involved however after hours and weekend support is needed from periodically.
You have: (required)
- HS Diploma OR GED
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior supervisory experience
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical/Maintenance certifications strongly preferred
- Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
