Key Responsibilities:

This position is required to lead and direct facilities maintenance operation at United hub maintenance operation and related operationally significant installations. May be responsible to direct leadership oversight of regionally assigned locations. Responsible for the local (TCO) total cost of ownership (5M+) and cost efficiency. Responsibilities include: maintenance planning and execution; preventative maintenance of required project program compliance; efficiency, accountability and dependability program management; safety and OSHA programs compliance; local state & federal environmental code compliance; and (SLA) service level agreement compliance delivering the optimum level of facility maintenance in support of safe and reliable airline operation. Partners with all local customer bases ensuring positive customer relation and service level goals achieved.

  • Lead team performance and execution against all division and corporate maintenance objectives within the Facilities Department. This includes maintenance customer (SLA) service level agreement compliance, Maintenance quality and reliability performance metric execution, all in service level goals/tolerances, planning and preventative maintenance program compliance
  • Lead efficient and effective team maintenance operations in a positive productive and safe work environment for teams with 25+ personnel
  • Handle all safety/OSHA, environmental and training programs in accordance with corporate policy
  • Handle safety mitigation programs and leads investigations that support root cause analysis of accidents, injuries and incidences involving facility assets or team personnel
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative and productive business relationship with local union representatives
  • Responsible for the local (TCO) total cost of ownership and cost efficiency of local and regional maintenance operation in excess of 5M annual spend. This includes; financial and staff planning, accounting and the budgetary compliance of hub locations and assigned region
  • Handles accurate and effective customer reporting and communication programs while sustaining positive customer service and efficiency ratings

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Technical degree or 5 years in maintenance leadership position
  • 5 Years experience in a maintenance leadership role
  • Experience in planning, supervising or leading facilities maintenance in an airline operation
  • Financial planning and management
  • Performance planning and management
  • Goal setting and execution
  • Detailed knowledge of operational corporate and CBA policies and procedures
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
