We are seeking a First Level Manager for the Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (EPLM) Team to oversee its Technical Publications group. We need a demonstrated leader and team builder to develop the people that will produce our next generation of Technical Publications products and services. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of EPLM in India, this role offers a great opportunity to hire, lead, and develop an elite team of Engineers and Technologists.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage technical publication activities at the satellite office.
- Accountable for the performance and results of the Technical Publication Group in achieving accuracy goals, deliverable milestones (i.e., quality, delivery, cost).
- Provide leadership to professional employees and leaders.
- Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion on time, perfect quality and within budgetary constraints.
- Recommend improvements and enhancements in standard technical publication techniques and practices.
- Manage recruitment, retention, and training for full-time employees with multi-discipline engineering and design skills to meet the needs of the organization. Resolve personnel problems and scheduling conflicts. Conduct performance reviews and development plans to encourage skill development and continuing education within group.

- Recent experience in technical writing in an aerospace business environment, quality assurance or engineering.
- Familiar with interactive electronic technical authoring languages and specifications such as XML, SGML, in S1000D.
- Familiar with common Engineering/Technical Authoring tools and computer applications such as Contenta, Catia.
- Experience in verification and validation of tech pubs desirable.
- Ability to remain current with new technologies in the field.
- Well-grounded knowledge of fundamental engineering principles, construction techniques, generally accepted drafting practices, design standards, technical specifications, and regulatory codes.
- Ability to conceptualize tasks logically and develop plans and schedules to address business and operational challenges.
- Ability to recognize issues that arise during the creation or revision of technical publications and be able to solve technical problems quickly.
Education, Experience and Certifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace or Technology
- Minimum 12+ years’ experience in Industry with Engineering, Design, Technical, and Project Management Experience.
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience managing or providing technical oversight and coordination of design staff.
- Minimum 5 years of (aerospace) engine Tech Pub experience
- Working experience in interactive electronic technical authoring languages and specifications such as XML, SGML, in ATA (Air Transport Association of America), S1000D

Required to work 9:00 AM to 18:00 PM IST TIME with an overlapping with EST shift
May be requested to work overtime and weekends for special program needs
