About the Role
You will be responsible to ensure all menu planning for both food & beverage elements meet the Qatar Airways’ high quality and standards. You will manage the process and delivery of QR standards and programming to Doha based catering and global network of catering suppliers and partners to drive consistency, quality and exceed the customers’ expectations. You will maintain global perspective on food and beverage as well as food preparation trends and ensure that suppliers have the same capabilities.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Directly accountable for leading the formulation of company product development strategy in alignment with business goals, desired customer experience, and customer feedback.
- Develop new sourcing opportunities by researching suppliers in the spanet to improve product consistency and attempt to reduce cost.
- Build and deliver robust Food and Beverage Plans and maximise product development including delivery of Fine Dining Services to assist in the improvement of product quality and consistency.
- Responsible for the development, maintenance, update and communication of menu planning structure, timelines and detailed requirements for all routes and meal services ensuring consistency of Qatar Airways Food and Beverage services network-wide.
- Responsible for the creative direction of the overall culinary program, including new menu development, sourcing and concept development and refinement in the assigned region.
- Develop and monitor the testing and evaluation of products based on industry best practices and provide guidance and management of the process when necessary.
- Create, implement, and ensure Culinary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed in the areas of food safety, food storage, prep recipes, line procedures, and all other culinary processes.
