Job PurposeAbout the role:
The Manager Fleet Technical - Cabin you will lead and manage the Cabin / Fleet Technical Management functional teams. Develop, influence, and drive prompt technical solutions to ensure that Emirates fleet meets the highest levels of regulatory and safety standards. Build and maintain an effective team to drive and achieve optimal fleet performance, dispatch reliability, passenger comfort and cost effectiveness.
What you will do:
- Set priorities for actions to address Cabin / Fleet technical performance issues across EK Engineering and oversee and follow-up on implementation of such actions (e.g. fleet improvement programs, retrofits and modification campaigns).
- Escalate any deviations from set action plans and influence accelerated resolution internally and externally (with OEM?s and manufacturers), as appropriate, to ensure optimum fleet airworthiness and technical performance.
- Drive safety initiatives within Cabin / Fleet Technical Management resulting from technical investigation of assigned safety reports, reliability cases, audit findings and major fleet issues. Contribute to the Engineering Safety forums e.g. Engineering Safety Board (ESB), Safety Action Group (SAG) and Engineering Safety Reports Reviews.
- Create and implement a strategic resource plan to ensure that all functions of Cabin / Fleet Technical Management are supported with adequate resources trained and qualified to meet approval requirements of ETS Modification Authorization as well as PART-21 Design approvals.
- Closely monitor and control the allocated budget to ensure effective utilization of expenses. Develop forward looking budget requirements for the department in line with the known and predicted demands.
- Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure departmental performance and support continuous improvement programs that drive efficiency and delivery of the departments objectives.
- Exercise privileges of Part 21 Design Organization as Compliance Verification Engineer/Deputy Head of Design as required. Carry out design activities defined in the Design Organization Handbook such as signing the Declaration of Compliance, approval for minor changes/repairs and appointment of Design personnel.
- Manage and oversee Cabin / Fleet Technical Management teams for support of corporate projects and initiatives. Support costing, planning, implementation, monitoring and delivery of projects in line with the organizations strategic objectives.
- Provide necessary input and support to Engineering Projects, as required, to review new aircraft specifications and options, ensuring that new aircraft specifications take advantage of `lessons learned from existing fleet experiences.
QualificationThis job might be for you if you have:
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering preferably with Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License.
- Minimum 10 years experience in Engineering of which at least 8 years in Technical Services function, of which at least 5 years in a middle management level in a Technical Services role
