Norwegian is looking for a Manager Network Strategy to join the Network Strategy Team and be a part of designing and develop the NAS network within a 1-to-5 years planning horizon.
How would your day look like in this role? As Manager you are responsible for supporting the team with analysis and recommendations to help the team make the best possible actions and decisions.
You will work according to defined standards and processes and engage in a regular dialogue with other departments to find ways to drive and optimize the network.
The Manager Network Strategy position is located at our office at Fornebu and reports to Director Network Strategy.

You are our ideal candidate if you have:
- Master`s degree in economics, logistics, statistics or general business studies
- 2-5 years of experience within strategic planning, data analysis and business development
- Strong economic understanding
- Experience analysing spanet intelligence data
- Strong knowledge of European aviation sector and excellent understanding of the spanet in the Nordic Region
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI (or Tableau, QlikView or similar)
- Familiar with Scandinavian language and fluent in one of them
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken

In this role you will be responsible for:
Analyses and Reports
- Responsible for developing and updating analyses and reports that support decision-making and strategic development for Norwegians network.
- You will work with big data analysis and prepare visually engaging and easy -to -understand reports and dashboards using Power BI, Excel and other data tools
- Create and maintain financial evaluation tools
- Create and maintain competitor analysis tools
- Prepare scenario analyses to predict future capacity needs based on various sources such as aviation statistics and long-term traffic forecasts, opportunities and threats in the route network to make proactive decisions
- Analyse spanet trends, including economic conditions, demographics, passenger trends and the competitive landscape that may affect long-term forecast
- Conduct analyses to find the most cost effective network design, which considers the airlines goal of being competitive while maintaining profitability
Identify and develop new spanets
- Perform spanet analysis to identify potential growth areas that can contribute to the airline`s expansion and competitiveness
- Provide strategic recommendations for new spanets, based on thorough analysis and data
- Contribute to the assessment of possible strategic partnerships, and interline agreements to expand the reach of the route network
Relationship building with airports and external partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airports, aviation authorities and other relevant third-party stakeholders
- Assist in negotiating agreements and contracts that support the company`s growth strategies and cost focus Including route tender processes with responsibility for process development and data management.
- Assist the team in identifying and evaluating attractive airport and destination agreements that can be added to the network
- Represent the company at relevant conferences, meetings and networking events, to promote new opportunities and strengthen the company’s position in the spanet
