Synopsis
Responsible for overseeing the regular activities related to:
- Participation in the First Article Inspection and manage production source inspection of customized BFE equipment prior to shipment.
- Production participation program based on agreed OEM/SFE integration and final phase of aircraft manufacturing/assembly process. Monitor overall build to type design compliance and quality standards and ensure that any deficiencies observed are duly reported and corrected by the responsible OEM/Suppliers.
- Managing the execution of the delivery process of all Etihad acquired aircrafts, ensuring that the highest quality standards, aircraft specifications, company expectations and best interest are served at all times in the most cost effective and timely manner
Accountabilities
- Plan and manage short term (daily/monthly) resources allocated based in contractually agreed production delivery schedule to ensure a cost effective of production oversight activities.
- Liaise with OEM/Supplier management in seeking an acceptable resolution to conditions that remained unresolved.
- Manage and control the assigned aircraft deliveries team ensuring that all logistic arrangements for assigned members of the delivery team including technical, flight operations and designated CAA inspectors are in place to support the respective delivery dates.
- Liaise with the associated aircraft OEMs conformity/Airworthiness representatives for the scheduling of the aircrafts delivery documents review with the assigned Aircraft Delivery Engineer/CAA inspector pre & post transfer of title (ToT)
- Continuously review, evaluate and improve the processes and procedures under the area of responsibility to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Effectively manage the performance of the staff reporting to the position, including both permanent and contract staff.
- Ensuring a safe and secure working environment for Etihad employees. Promoting quality of work, safety, and security awareness.
- Management of professional service contracts applicable to the Production Oversight and Aircraft Delivery scopes.
Education & Experience
- University degree or equivalent qualification. Formal project management qualification preferred.
- Good knowledge of the applicable GCAA regulations pertaining to the production oversight delivery, and registration of new built aircraft.
- Good knowledge of EASA Part 145, Part 21 and FAA C.21, C.43 and other relevant regulations.
- Good knowledge of Boeing and Airbus production oversight processes and documentation.
- Good presentation skills.
- Minimum 15 years job-related or project experience in the field of Commercial Aviation, Airline Operation of which a minimum of 5 years of aircraft production oversight and delivery in a senior management capacity is preferred.
