Job Description:

Are you an experienced aviation safety professional ready to take ownership of flight safety and SMS for a growing Part 135 air carrier? Join MAnext, the aircraft management and charter division of Million Air Dallas, as our Manager of Flight Safety.

In this role, you will serve as the designated leader for Flight Safety and the Safety Management System (SMS), working directly with executive leadership to maintain and continuously enhance a world-class aviation safety program. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and resilient flight operations across our managed fleet.

This is an on-site position based in Dallas, Texas and is not a remote or hybrid role.

Your Role

As Manager of Flight Safety, you will be the Company’s primary safety authority for our FAA Part 135 air carrier, responsible for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of our Safety Management System (SMS).

This is not an OSHA or EHS position. The role is focused exclusively on flight operations, aircraft maintenance safety oversight, regulatory compliance, and aviation safety risk management within a business aviation environment.

You will operate with independence and authority, reporting directly to the President & CEO, and partnering closely with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and senior leadership.

Compensation:
$110,000 – $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience in Part 135 aviation safety, plus a competitive benefits package.

Job Requirements:

Key Qualifications

Required

  • 5–7 years of experience in aviation safety, compliance, or operational leadership within a Part 135 or Part 121 environment.
  • Direct, hands-on experience implementing and managing a Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA safety regulations, ICAO Annex 19, and approved air carrier manuals.
  • Experience supporting ASAP, hazard reporting systems, and aviation safety investigations.
  • Experience leading or supporting FAA inspections and industry audits (ARGUS, IS-BAO, or equivalent).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with regulators, auditors, and executive leadership.

Preferred

  • Prior experience as a Safety Manager, Chief Pilot, Director of Compliance, or Quality Manager.
  • Familiarity with FOQA data or aviation safety data analysis tools.
  • Pilot certificate or A&P background (preferred, not required).
  • Business aviation experience in a multi-aircraft fleet environment.

Candidates whose background is primarily OSHA, EHS, industrial, manufacturing, or construction safety without direct aviation safety experience will not be considered.
