This position is open to the East Coast. 

Reporting to the Director, Global Partnerships, this role will have responsibility for all business development and commercial aspects of Air Canada Cargo’s cold chain-related products and solutions. This extends from increasing the profitability and growth of existing cold-chain products to developing new opportunities in the cold chain market. The Manager, Cargo Cold Chain Products and Solutions will develop the line of products and services, based on industry trends, customer needs and by seeking business growth opportunities. The incumbent will have the responsibility of achieving Air Canada Cargo’s cold chain revenue goals while deepening relationships with existing customers, finding new prospects, and growing Air Canada Cargo’s relationships and cooperation with pharmaceutical organizations and the entire cold-chain community.

Responsibilities:    

  • Lead and serve as the Subject Matter Expert and sales support for Air Canada Cargo’s cold chain product offerings. Attending and presenting at key customer meetings, RFPs, industry events and industry panels.
  • Responsible to develop, manage and contribute to the overall cold chain strategic business plan and revenue targets.
  • Manage and execute cold chain products and solutions objectives to attract customers, increase sales and enhance customer retention.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle of Air Canada Cargo’s cold chain products from strategy development to tactical activities.
  • Identify revenue opportunities with a focus on market opportunity identification, both established and emerging markets.
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market plan, including pricing strategies and revenue objectives, working in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing team.
  • Identify market opportunities through market analysis and ensure compliance with industry best practices by attending key trade events and customer meetings.
  • Work closely with Air Canada Cargo’s regulatory, compliance and operational teams to ensure product excellence and compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with regional sales teams, industry groups, trade associations and specialized industry experts to create strategic partnerships and to discover future needs and possible obstacles that could affect the quality of customer service.
  • Explore technological innovations for long-term implementation to enhance product distribution and communication services, such as adopting the use of RFID technology.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong understanding of the cargo cold chain business.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic mindset & Results oriented.
  • Strong commercial/business acumen.
  • Strong analytical skill set – ability to data mine and drive direction with key partners.
  • Key partner development – strategic and consultative approach.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills in dealing with data and general industry information.
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to cope with irregular or multiple work demands.
  • Ability to travel up to 40.
  • Proficiency with applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Sales Force CRM.
