Your role as a Manager, Financial Planning:
You will oversee the financial and operating performance of all entities within the Aviation Group, driving insights to support strategic decision-making across aviation and its adjacent businesses.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Periodic Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly financial performance reports, budget-vs-actual reviews, and quarterly board-level presentations for internal stakeholders.
Performance Analysis: Analyze the financial and operating results of every business unit under Capital A, leveraging a deep understanding of key revenue and cost drivers.
Decision-Support: Partner with senior management to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities across the Group; equip them with insights to guide strategic resource allocation.
Data Model Design & Maintenance: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design/create/maintain data model schemas.
Actionable Recommendations: Translate fact-based analysis into clear recommendations on how to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
Process Improvement: Lead new FP&A initiatives—automate manual processes, streamline report generation, and continuously evolve our toolkit (e.g., Lookerstudios dashboards, BQ SQL queries) to match changing business needs.
WHO YOU ARE:
Educational & Professional Credentials: You hold a recognized degree or professional qualification in finance/accounting and have 3–4 years of FP&A (or similar) experience.
Advanced Excel & PowerPoint Skills: You are highly proficient with complex modeling in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, VBA/macros, etc.) and capable of crafting executive-quality presentations in PowerPoint.
Strong Analytical Mindset: You can translate large data sets into concise, actionable insights—spotting trends, anomalies, and root-cause drivers.
Tech-Savvy & Curious: You demonstrate a keen interest in learning new tools and technologies (e.g., BQ, MySQL, Lookerstudios) and apply them to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Organizational & Time Management: You excel at setting priorities, managing multiple deadlines, and delivering high-quality outputs under tight time frames.
Effective Communicator: You convey complex financial concepts clearly—both in writing and verbally—to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Detail-Oriented & Problem-Solver: You have an eagle eye for detail, question assumptions, and proactively resolve discrepancies before they escalate.
Team Player with Leadership Potential: You collaborate seamlessly with colleagues, demonstrate ownership of deliverables, and can lead small-scale projects or process improvement efforts independently.
